...explaining Peptic Ulcers... |
An ulcer is a crater like area of damaged, inflamed or dead tissue in the Mucous and muscular layer of whichever part of the intestinal tract is affected. In the stomach, ulcers occur with some degree of inflammation. Peptic means referring to the stomach, but a peptic ulcer can be in any area of the GI tract from the oesophagus (the tube from the mouth to the stomach) to the duodenum (small intestine). Common symptoms of ulcers include: pain or aching, usually under the sternum or upper abdominal area. This pain can be burning, gnawing, soreness, hunger pains that don't go away, or a chronic empty feeling. The pain may be constant or it may come and go. It may vary in intensity, and is usually relieved by antacids or milk, although in the long run, antacids do not work as well as supplements. Antacids can also cause serious health problems. The aluminium present in many antacids is absorbed into the bones and brain where it may promote osteoporosis and Alzheimer's disease. Pharmaceutical anti-ulcer drugs reduce the acid in the stomach, allowing a temporary healing, but they also cause a number of negative side effects. They deprive the body of acid, which is necessary for digestion, for protection against unfriendly bugs, for good bone health, and for turning on the rest of your digestive enzymes. These drugs may block good prostaglandin production, which can cause inflammation and cellular damage in your body. They can damage your gastrointestinal lining. Many of these anti-ulcer medications (H2-receptor blockers) promote the growth of all kinds of viruses, bacteria, and fungi such as Candida albicans, which would normally have been killed in the stomach. There is also a high rate of relapse with pharmaceuticals, 80% after one year and 100% after two years! Some ulcers are caused by the bug Helicobacter pylori, and there are new blood and breath tests for this bug. |

Colostrum
...explained...
Description: Colostrum is probably the best and most complete single supplement for supporting the Immune system. It contains 36 different immune factors that the body uses to boost or regulate the immune system. There are thousands of clinical and medical papers in peer reviewed Journals on the effectiveness of Colostrum with immune problems. Immunecare products are absolutely safe to use indefinitely with no known side effects or drug interactions. Colostrum is probably the best single nutritional supplement for the gut. Immunecare Colostrum not only provides the body with all the many immune factors that that it needs to help fight infections in the gut, but its unique combination of growth factors actually repair damage to the gut and regenerate it. It is particularly effective at correcting Leaky or Permeable gut syndrome, where due to pharmaceutical drug damage or infection the gut wall becomes too porous. This leads to large particles from the gut leaking into the body and causing food intolerances and allergies, as well as other systemic problems. Immunecare Colostrum also contains lactoferrin, which research has shown to be a powerful natural anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral supplement. Lactoferrin is so effective as an anti-viral agent that it has seen great success with HIV patients. It has also been shown to be effective with the yeast infection Candida. Athletes from all over the world also benefit from taking Colostrum, with stars of Triathlon, Cycling, Track and Field, Hockey and Rugby using it to reduce recovery times, build lean tissue, lose fat and keep their immune systems working optimally whilst training heavily. Olympic athlete or Club runner, Colostrum can help you avoid illness and the resultant interruptions to your training schedule. Dosage information: Colostrum Capsules: Normal maintenance dose is 2 Capsules twice a day. All capsules should be taken on an empty stomach with a glass of water. There are two 'Front-Loading' regimes to achieve a fast response to taking Colostrum. The first is for people who are sensitive to medication: On day 1 take one capsule, Day 2 take two and so on up to 8 capsules. Divide the doses into twice daily. Then reduce the dose down to the maintenance dose. If you experience a return of symptoms then increase the dosage. The advantage of this dosing method is that it gets the Colostrum into the system relatively quickly with minimal risk of healing crisis and fallout reaction. The disadvantage is that the benefits of the Colostrum are slower to be seen. Be patient! The second method is to take 8 capsules a day for 8 days, and then go on to the maintenance dose. If you experience a return of symptoms then increase the dosage. The benefits of this regime are that you get Colostrum into the system quickly. The disadvantage is that sensitive people can have a healing crisis or fallout reaction similar to a detox. Price: £19.99 for 120 capsules |
